CCC – three letters that were at one time instantly recognised by any self-respecting motorsport enthusiast over the course of about 30 years, from the 1960s to the early Noughties. It stood for Cars and Car Conversions and after the title sadly ceased publication (October 2003 was its final edition) Track & Race Cars Magazine was produced (with the February 2004 edition being its first) to fill a void for CCC aficionados. After five years and just under 70 issues, TRC flew the flag for clubman motorsport with the latest track tests and useable technical insights while embracing the ever growing track day community.

It is with immense regret that I have to announce that the publishing of
Track & Race Cars Magazine (TRC) has been suspended from the November 2009 edition. Over the last six months we have, as a publication, struggled our way through with a limited budget but unfortunately the magazine has succumbed to a delayed backlash of the global recession.

The decision to suspend the publication, I assure you, was not taken lightly. Since launching TRC with the February 2004 edition (in a bid to fill a void which was left by Cars and Car Conversion) I have always believed the motoring industry deserved a magazine to promote grassroot motorsport and the upcoming trend of track days… and I still do.

So, to all our readers and subscribers, I would like to take this time to not only thank you for your support but to also apologise for failing to keep this magazine dropping through your letterbox for the remainder of your subscription.

Kind regards,

Keith Wood
